As someone snatched Pennsylvania Avenue from me with great rue.
Every Breath of my thousand desires has stolen a heartbeat without a clue.
After many years of hard work a few dreams came true
Though my dreams were many yet, they still turned out to be few.
Every moment of the four days gave me a countdown at the oval seat.
The two days were spent in desire-making while the remaining two days were misspent in retreat
Upon completion of the journey found the two-yard house in the ground.
The outcome for the homeless and homeowners is the same heading to Earthbound.

As someone stole Pennsylvania Avenue with rue,
I stood bereft, my dreams now few.
A thousand wants, like whispered flame,
Each breath I took, a heart lost, nameless, without claim.
Years of toil, a handful of dreams came true,
Yet among the many, only a precious few.
Each moment in the four short days I reigned,
Was marked by countdowns, hope strained, and strained.
Two days were spent in weaving desire’s thread,
The rest dissolved in silence, fled.
And when the journey reached its close,
I found my rest where no one knows.
In the end, no roofs remain profound,
Both homeless souls and kings lie Earthbound.
